NEW SANDPIT FOR US!!

On Monday we had the opening of our new sandpit area.



Matua Paul along with Whaea Bella and Whaea Carolyn said a karakia to bless the sandpit area and keep us safe.
Two of the students cut the ribbon to open the sandpit. One of them was Theresa from room 1.

The sandpit was opened as Matua Paul prayed a blessing.



We all had a turn in the sandpit and it was really fun.

 Now we can use the sandpit at playtime and lunchtime.

Reading fun

We have been trying to make a tent using different materials and we had to try to make it stand up. We have to use our problem solving skills. We used paper, sticks and cellotape but it fell off. So we tried playdough to hold the sticks. It worked!! We are making a leaf boat with paper and we tried making a leaf boat with a real leaf. Some are reading books to a group of friends and others are listening carefully.
