LEARNING ABOUT DOG SAFETY

We learned about keeping safe around dogs with Nick. He brought Fergie, the dog to our school so that we know what to do. Room 4 joined us in our class too.
We watched and listened carefully.
This is Fergie. Isn't he cute?

When we see a dog we should never run. Nick told us to stand like a tree.

We must not stare at a dog, just like we don't like if anyone stares at us. We looked at different pictures and we had to answer questions.

We had a turn to touch Fergie and feel his soft coat. But first the rule is to ask the owner, which we did. Some of us were scared to touch Fergie but when we did it wasn't scary at all.

At the end of the session we got an "Activity book" to take home.
WE REALLY LOVED LEARNING ABOUT KEEPING SAFE WITH DOGS AND WATCHING FERGIE MOVE AROUND, BARK AND PLAY WITH HIS TOY.
